This painting is based on a scene I passed on one of many walks- ordinary place, still and glowing quietly after dark.
It is part of a series where I document the familiar of everyday life.
By painting these moments, I give them a renewed sense of presence - something we might all recognise in passing, a flicker of a memory, or a place that feels like somewhere we have been.
